Meet Andy

Hi, I’m Andy

 

I’m a guitarist and vocalist based out of Dayton, OH.  I’ve had the pleasure of performing and teaching in the greater Dayton/Cincinnati area since 2010. I studied performance jazz music at the Jazz Arts Studio in Dayton, OH.

 

My first introduction to music was through the violin. Learning to play the violin provided a foundation for understanding classical music, music notation, and the importance of focused practice. As I got older, I began to play guitar and fell in love.

 

Music is also in my blood. I come from a very creative and musical family. My folks were wedding singers, and both of my siblings also sing and play music. 

 

When not performing or practicing, I love immersing myself in nature. I make frequent trips to Red River Gorge, KY for hiking, biking, kayaking, and rock climbing. In addition music, I find joy in sketching, cooking, and growing my own herbs and veggies. 

 

Music to me is more than learning an instrument or performing a song. It is a unique form of expression that can help heal, focus, and connect us to the world around us. There’s so much that can be learned about one’s self while in pursuit of music.
